“Use Burst Mode & Create a Photo Theme”…

… but do it smartly.  Have you ever hoped to get a nice set of 3 to 5 related or sequential photos perhaps to frame for your home or as a gift?  If there’s action involved, learn to use burst mode:

1- Burst or continuous mode is activated by an easy push of an external button on most cameras and depending on the age and model can fire upwards of a dozen frames per second.

2- Use this tool smartly.  It is designed for action and moving subjects like say a sporting event or wildlife like the erratic Reddish Egret seen feeding here. Remember, the more photos you take, the more you’ll have to sort through at home.  I marvelled once this Winter as a guy down in the Everglades approached  landscape photography in burst mode, again and again and again.  Silly.

3- Keep your best shots that appeal to you and compose nicely when presented as a small group.   Add a prematted frame and you’ve created something nice for home decor.

If you haven’t added continuous shooting mode to your photography or don’t know how, check the owners manual then experiment.  Can I help?

Weekend Idea- Looks like an interesting Earth Day celebration starting at 7 am Friday at Sanibel’s Ding Darling Refuge.  Free bike use, kids activities and of course nature photography.  Have fun, Gordon.
