It’s not unusual to receive an email asking ”When’s your next photo excursion”?  So the answer to that one is “Next Wednesday”!  Burrowing owls, wading birds and more are on the ticket down on Marco Island where we’ll spend time photographing water birds at Tiger Tail lagoon before heading over to the active owl nests for portaits of what are easily one of Southwest Florida’s most photogenic species.

Lighting, shooting angle, composition and the art of anticipating bird behavior for the best shots will all be covered. Participants should come away with a better command of their camera and lenses while making some attractive shots too.  If you’ve got a DSLR and a moderate zoom lens you’re equipped.
