Enjoy Digital Photography This Weekend…
… because there will be plenty of opportunities for shooting. Get out early for the best light as the skies have been clouding up around mid day and are expected to do so again. 3 ideas for great pictures:

The beaches of SWFL offer supreme photo ops.
1) Hit the beach- As always you’ll find plenty of interesting scenes including local “landmarks” like piers, lighthouses and watercraft, people at play and of course our diverse and ever changing natural world. Early on, sun and wind will be from the East so conditions will be very good. The alternative to arriving early would be late at which point sharply contrasted silhouettes will headline the menu.
2) Birds of Florida- up North the migration is in full swing and the numbers of birds of prey like eagles and ospreys, waterfowl including wood ducks and blue -winged teal plus our elegant waders- the egrets and herons are really building. Those with a keen eye and more intense interest will also find warblers, kingfishers and tons of smaller shorebirds. Pack your biggest lenses and a rest.
3) You like the night life?- From Ft. Meyers and Sanibel/Captiva down through Bonita Springs to Naples and Marco you’ll find plenty of action. Crowded street scenes, images painted by car lights, outdoor music and more await. Turn up your ISO setting, understand how shutter speed affects your shots and be ready to consult your owner’s manual- don’t leave home without it. “Thanks, Amex.”
